Ultrasound-guided injections

Fusion Radiology offer ultrasound guided injections aimed at providing relief for painful and inflamed joints. Inflamed joints often result in limited mobility and out US-guided injections can alleviate the pain and inflammation, helping you get back to moving freely. Our injections are performed by highly experience advanced physiotherapists and sonographers.

The US-guided injection is comprised of local anaesthetic and corticosteroid which is injected into the target area, the needle is guided by Ultrasound. The

injections work by lubricating the joint while simultaneously providing pain relief. The guidance of the needle through ultrasound allows for safe and monitored administration of the medication, minimizes potential risks and allows for our clinicians to maximise the effects of the injection.

An Ultrasound-guided injection can be beneficial for individuals suffering with a number of joint problems, some of these include:

  • Frozen shoulder
